Agree T, have been using this sequence for some time and seems to be the most reliable and consistent regards in flight connectivity !! (And distance)

I needed to do the same, purchased the Mavic 2 Pro however kept my Spark as a back up and its still fun to fly; I also use it when in a high risk film rather than the Pro!!!!!

Purchased a Parrot Mambo so I can at least fly inside and have some fun when the weather is no good for Sparky! (The Mambo is pretty good outside also!!!)

Hi O, yes definitely in Sports mode and in RTH, push full stick forward to get an extra 5 / 10 klms per hour speed, I have done a few range tests and if the wind picks up on the return, I take it out of RTH and manually bring it back using the Map and in Sport mode.

The camera was set up on Auto settings except the White balance which was on "Cloudy"; the connectivity was Controller to I Pad Mini with an OTG cable plus signal enhancers on the controller. Had 10% battery on precision landing!

Welcome and the Spark is an amazing little craft!!!

To give you a glimmer of hope !!! here is a video of the amazing Spark with a distance of just over 3.5 klms out, using controller, I Pad Mini and OTG cable (15% + battery at the end!!)............enjoy!

For what its worth, I use the following set up: (and sequence turning on!) Remote, Spark, IPad Mini , DJI App and last, connect OTG cable to Ipad ; this set up achieves consistent 3 klm range (out) with approx 10 /15% battery at the end; this is also over the Suburbs so plenty of Wi Fi bubbles...
