Is there a lack of competition in the market for DJI Drones?

Either a Chinese company or a US company that follows Apple’s model ... Designed in the US but manufactured in China. I really like DJI’s drones, but I’m also rooting for Autel to be that US competitor. Hope that is not a sacrilegious statement to make in a DJI forum.

Is there a lack of competition in the market for DJI Drones?

Competition is great but DJI is quickly pulling away from the pack. If they keep innovating at their current pace it will take a well financed competitor to really be able to compete or a company that is making high-end drones, say for the military, to enter the market. With every iteration...

Should I sell my spark? And when

I say get a Mavic Air or a discounted Mavic Pro. About the same price and capability. The new Mavic Pro will likely be around $1300. Keeping the Spark as a backup is a good move if you don't need the money to offset the cost of the new.

Latest Spark 2 rumors ... I like what what may be in store!

DJI is following Apple’s lead in product design, naming and marketing. Apple’s approach ‘is’ to push features found in the higher end models down. It looks to me that DJI is first establishing its desired product mix: Spark - entry level, Air - intermediate, MP - prosumer, Phantom -...

Legit JUST bought Spark (9 Hours Flight Time)... my thoughts on Mavic Air

This is the most enjoyable thread I’ve read on the Spark vs Mavic debate. All are great drones and I think DJI is doing a good job offering a lineup with ever increasing features at various price points. Sometimes thinks don’t seem to make sense when you try to compare older models (MPs) at...

Latest Spark 2 rumors ... I like what what may be in store!

If they update the camera to 4K I think it would have a 3 axis gimbal. Sensor would not be able to do EIS for 4K and without stabilization the video would be garbage.

LOL! Can’t argue with you there, but it sure is fun.

Latest Spark 2 rumors ... I like what what may be in store!

Bill The Drone Reviewer just released a YouTube video with possible specs on the Spark 2. Rumored Spark 2 * Same design * Camera upgrade 4K30fps, 1080p60fps, improved quality, no raw * Still wifi no Occusync or Lightbridge * Include Boomerang and Asteroid and new gesture controls found in Air...

    Spark vs Mavic Air

Quite honestly, it seems that you are perfectly happy with the Spark. It is a great drone and if it’s meeting your needs then why change? I would recommend, that unless there is a feature in the Mavic Air that is a “must” have then I would keep the Spark another year and see what the Mavic Air...

    Spark vs Mavic Air

The Air is better but depending on what you will do with the drone it could be overkill. Sounds like this will be his first drone. Will he need or can he edit 4K footage? Any need or desire to use footage or pics for professional purposes? Is he technically inclined or a bit intimidated by tech...

Will the Mavic Air replace the Spark

I smell a Mavic Pro 2 coming with a 1 inch sensor to separate it from the Mavic Air. I’m now thinking the Spark may remain unchanged as an entry level pure hobbyist option. New lineup: Spark $399 w/remote, $599 fly more Air $799, $999 Pro 2 w/1” camera $1199, $1399 Phantom 5 interchangeable...

    Official DJI Adventure Unfolds video

Before this “Mavic Air” teaser I thought DJI would upgrade the Spark to 4K. Now I think the Spark will be their entry level 1080p consumer drone and the Mavic Air will be the entry level 4K drone. That could mean the Mavic Pro/Platinum gets 4K @ 60 or 120, obstacle avoidance in the rear and more...

On the go editing choice: iMovie, LumaFusion or ?

I have an iPhone and iPad that I take with me everywhere and I was wondering what some of you are using to edit your videos on the go? I will be taking my soon to be purchased Spark with me on vacation and would like to edit and upload videos on the road rather than wait till I get back to my...
