Spark emergency shut off not working

Once you are able to catch the bird, you can also hold down on the left joystick (descend) to shut off the motors.

Why do you update your firmware?

I purchased my Spark back in October 2018 and the only time I had to update firmware was during the initial set-up step. There has been no firmware updates since then. The frequent update prompts you see are "Flysafe database update" which are nothing but geo-fencing updates related to NFZs.

Hello guys.. I just wanto to share my Experience when i had problem my afce did not recognized by the spark when i tried to use palm control..

Palm launch is quite handy when we don't have a flat surface to take off from. Just make sure that your face is well lit and Spark quickly detects it after a double tap of the power button and hovers steadily in the air making eye contact with you. ;) It is true that Spark goes straight into...

    Number of locked sats?

Key is to ensure that the home point is correctly recorded before take off. Usually it takes a while after powering ON the aircraft at the time of the first flight for sufficient satellites to lock and get the home point recorded. I have noticed that subsequent flights after changing the battery...

    Advice on OTG

You need to enable "Developer options" menu first. Go to settings, tap on "About phone/device". Then tap on "Build number" multiple times (7~10 times) till a prompt shows up.

    No Signal

I was flying my Spark last Sunday, 15th August (India's Independence Day) and had captured pretty good footage as well, with 3 batteries exhausted. However, as I tried to resume my filming after recharging the batteries, I saw a "No Signal" message on the status bar with the camera feed having...

    Cinematic Mode

Glad you finally managed to get the modified app. Be wary of the sweeping motion of the drone while in Cinematic mode though. Braking distances are increased too. Will take a few flights to get used to it but once you master it, you can get awesome cinematic shots with it. Keep us posted.

    Going Fast... Yet Staying Smooth

With the Cinematic mode, you easily fly at ~50km/h and still do smooth turns. This video I shot using cinematic mode will give you an idea of how fast you can go and how smooth the video still looks. NOTE: The telemetry overlay (speedometer, altimeter, distance from home etc.) is added in the...

    Going Fast... Yet Staying Smooth

Try switching off the obstacle avoidance sensors. It will give you about twice the speed of P-mode. There is also a "Cinematic Mode" which gives you stable video at maximum speed but for that you need to download and install a moded app.

    Realistic range ?

Gives me the chance to share an old thread. ? No hardware modifications like parabolic dish or range extenders used. https://sparkpilots.com/threads/my-longest-flight-video-with-telemetry-data-overlay.12803/

    Dinamic home point

Quick tip: Always take off from a fairly open area and mark it as your home point. Never use dynamic home point.

"Drone tilted, place it on a flat surface before taking off" - while flying?!

Seen something on similar lines pop up when trying to take off from a tilted surface. Never seen it mid flight. High winds do make the drone tilt beyond normal to hold position but then we get something like - "High winds. Fly with caution."
