    New Spark Combo for $199

It does, but there seems to be a small number of units in stock at the low prices. I'm thinking the clearance activity at Walmart is related to the recent price increase at DJI which is related to tariffs that took effect Sept 1 (apologies if this is obvious to some; it wasn't to me). A clerk at...

    New Spark Combo for $199

Thomaston, Maine. I didn't see a drone or read the tag thoroughly, so don't know if there was RC. The noise that the Air makes was the reason I wasn't curious. That, and that I had bought a M2P on Monday. Best Buy had several of those in Maine, so I grabbed one at the old price. BTW, I believe...

    New Spark Combo for $199

Just back from my local Walmart. I saw a yellow tag for Mavic Air, $399 (was 799). Didn't pursue as I wasn't interested in that drone. Something is definitely going on at Walmart.

How do you tell when your Spark starts having motor problems?

After a fall of about 20 feet into soft brush (prop guards on, crashed into wire), I got a warning of 'motor blocked' or something similar. I think it was the result of the brush preventing the motor from spinning. It got me worried, but next time I flew the message was gone.

    Airscrew comparison.

As already noted, they are only slightly less noisy, but lower in pitch (tone) than stock props. I'm not the best one for testing as I don't find much time to fly just now (retiring soon). Couldn't resist trying these and I'll carry them with me. As others have said, the folding props stay on in...

What do you guys use as a display? Your phone, or are you using a tablet? What works the best for control and viewing experience.

When I first heard of Crystal Sky, the price put me off. But after beginning to fly, I did want a better monitor for several reasons, mainly safety. The Smart Controller looks interesting, but not compatible with Spark and pricey. The Crystal Sky does work with Spark, and also Mavic 2 which I...

Crystal Sky is a DJI product, but not cheap. The 5.5" version is about $469, the 7.85" much more. The bigger one comes in two versions; High Brightness (1000 nits) or Ultra Bright (2000 nits). The mounts to use with your controller would be $40 and up.

What do you guys use as a display? Your phone, or are you using a tablet? What works the best for control and viewing experience.

I've used an iPad mini 4 since getting my spark in March. It's not as bright as my old eyes need, so recently got Crystal Sky. I found a bundle on Ebay that included used 5.5" CS, mount, DJI hood/cover (great!), making the cost of CS affordable. Much brighter! If I ever do commercial work (w/...

    Measure flight altitude (general questions)

Since drones are extremely useful for inspections of towers, buildings, etc., the rule makes that activity legal. The FAA has shown time and again that they are doing their best to adapt to a rapidly changing technology.

This page; DJI CrystalSky - Specifications, FAQs, Videos, Tutorials, Manuals, DJI GO - DJI has downloadable PDFs. Paper seems to be fading as a way of including needed info lately.

Not sure how google maps works, but I'm very impressed with the GPS in my iPad Mini4/ Spark. If it works as well in Crystal Sky all the better.

I read somewhere that you can choose to reset the home point to where the remote is, but it isn't dynamic. If true, only reset if you're staying put at the new location as it isn't automatic and won't know where you are when you're moving.

DJI website says there is GPS. The antenna is between the speakers on the top. I hope this is accurate as I've just ordered a used 5.5" unit. I'm also hoping the GPS can be used by apps that can be installed on it, other than Go 4 (I don't see why not).
