Being relatively new also, I can tell you I have watched hours of You Tube Videos for sparks and other drones. There is lots of advice for beginners.

As a new pilot, battery temperatures are interesting to me. They seems to have a range. Most guidance I've seen lately talks about how to keep them warm by putting them in your coat etc. However, I live in Phoenix. How do you keep them cool when it's 115 degrees in July?

Mine seems to get indecisive. It recognizes me and then it doesn't. The lights go green and then go back to red, then back to green again. Sometimes it follows my hand and sometimes not.

I am not so concerned about weight, but I would sure like a longer flight time on my Spark. Does anyone think DJI will eventually upgrade technology to allow the spark to fly longer?

Just read one of those news updates that might impact drone pilots. The US Air force is conducting wars games from now through the middle of next month, Part of the games will include GPS jamming in the Southwest United States. So there may be times that we won't have GPS.
