I guess the build quality maybe a factor. Once I crashed my spark without guard directly into the wall while flying indoors, but luckily it just got only some scratches and had no signs of breakage, I suggest better to stick onto the original ones

I have tried OTG on HONOR 7X. No connectivity issues so far. Must be your phone. Have you tr8ed any other android device?

Use OTG, I never had a glitch, and mostly the ios app is way better than android

Have you tried locating using the sound and light mode, battery might have died out by now

You were trying the reveal mode, one of my favourites...its risky since we have to disable obstacle detection to fly close to the object
