Ive gotten in the habit of calibrating the compass each time i go out to fly. Only takes a minute and eliminates one of the possibilities that could make her fly away.
True story. This happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I was flying over water at the time. Talk about puckered up - got her home safely and called it a day. Has flown fine since.
I bit on a similar deal with the Autel X-Star premium on Amazon in the spring knowing I was taking a risk. I needed some spare parts and this was the whole kit. I thought "what a bargain!". I waited a month without a shipping notice and had to get Amazon to refund my order. Turned out to be a...
They need something like the "cable cam" feature that another manufacturer has. It flies a predetermined flight path but gives you control of the yaw. I cant remember the manufacturer unfortunately.
Seems like most of the drones being lost are due to some sort of pilot error. Flying in high winds, magnetic interference, lack of compass calibration, etc. Just do yourself a favor and get the fly more combo so you can get the remote and spare battery. Also an "OTG" cable will make your...
I saw a video where a guy just used the Helix quickshot to do exactly what you want to do. As long as there is enough color contrast between the ground and the object it should work fine.
You probably dont need anything bigger then 16 or 32gb with the Spark. Im just using what I had available. The 1080p file sizes are much smaller then 4k, and with the short battery life it would take quite a long time to fill the card up anyways.
As an owner of both the Mavic and the Spark I can personally tell you that both are quite awesome. They both serve there purposes well. But if its distance and no video lag that you want you will want to go with the Mavic and an iPhone as your video monitor. The combination cannot be beaten...
A power bank small enough to fit on top of the Spark wouldnt be able to supply power fast enough. For that matter a large power bank still charges at a rate much slower then would be needed to fly.
You can use wifi, but the OTG connection is much more reliable. One thing to remember though, with the OTG you have to turn off the wifi connection, boot the app, remote, drone, and then OTG - in that order - for it to work.
Download the DJI Go4 app. Update firmware on the Spark from the app. Check with your regions laws, and go fly. Its pretty simple and the update pretty much prompts itself once you have the Spark connected to the app. Enjoy!
I do a ton of road and mountain biking. My spark fits in my camelback bag much better then the Mavic and if I take a nasty spill id much rather break the Spark then the Mavic. Also, I can take a battery pack with me and charge on the go.
Well, after trying it with a USB charger and the wall charger everything seems fine. I could have sworn I charged my batteries with this computer before. Maybe I just charged the remote. Anyways, all is well now.
