I have never timed it exactly but based on recent experience 3 batteries that were 20-25% charged were fully charged after 1h20min drive. Maybe they completed charging sooner, I just checked when I arrived at my next stop without checking while driving.

Don't know about iPhones as I don't own one but on all my Android phones that I had, I switch on airplane mode and then enable wifi. In that case you're sure only wifi is active without any other RF interface on that might cause issues.

If the cable is not labelled as an OTG cable but merely does a physical conversion from micro USB to Lightning, that is a problem as neither RC or phone will know who should act as USB host.

You're not alone, feel exactly the same. Bought my Spark early January. Apart from the timing, I've had nothing but issues with my Spark since they removed OTG in last app version.

On my GS4, mod app would install butI never got OTG to work with GS4 (also not with the official versions of the app though). Today I got a Nokia 8 running Android 8.0. Mod app runs super smooth, OTG works, minimal video lag (there is some minor lag still). Have not tried to fly it using Nokia 8...
