I just crop/scale my stills to match the video resolution. I'd much rather have the higher quality still to work from. But it would be nice if they added a feature in the firmware to select the still photo size/aspect.

His use case for the Spark is well defined, and his expectations are inline with his use case, which is pretty much aligned to the capabilities of the Spark minus the couple of shortcomings he points out. I also enjoy his videos, especially the perspective of moving backwards.

Beginner mode maybe? It creates invisible walls to protect you from going to far/high till you've had a chance to learn the controls. OA sometimes reports an obstacle in the way when direct sunlight hits the sensor.

This is one of those awesome features that hasn't been talked about much. I've used it a few times with stationary subjects because it works great for controlling orbit. You can control orbit direction and speed. Really has some cool possibilities, just make sure you have room to fly sideways :).

Just tested it. Red leds automatically turn off when snapping photos or recording video. Smart machine.

I've never used the RTH feature. It has tried to auto land before because the battery is low but I canceled the action and landed it myself. I've run a battery to 1% before in testing, but usually start coming home to land when it hits the 30% warning. I do wish the battery lasted longer, but...

I have my low battery alert go off at 30% (default), and that usually happens at around 10 minutes, giver or take a little depending if I am hovering for still photos or putting around (battery lasts longer if I'm flying around vs. standing still).
