I can't get my htc u11+ and its cover to slide in the RC's arms, it's about 1 to 2mm to tight. Any ways to enlarge them a bit?

One option is to remove the cover.

I know, I hate taking mine off the phone to use too.
So this was my solution.

I fly with a mini4 and a tablet holder but if I fly with my Android phone, I leave it in the case and mount it to the tablet holder via the belt clip holder that came with the case and a piece of plastic yard sign material cut the same size as the mini4.

Another option is to remove the pad(s) in the arms.
They are held in by a torx type screw.

Or if you're good with a razor blade, you may be able to cut some of the pad.

Perhaps cutting the rubber will be the best option like you said but I am not ready to do it right now. I took off one of the 2 rubbers but it made it too large, the phone is not secured, I could replace it with sticky rubber pills that will be half the thickness, I should try it...

I keep the case on my s7. I cut the pads with a razor blade and it fits fine now. just take your time and don't trim 2 much off at 1st.

Yeah given that phones are getting bigger and sometimes thither + covers Dji should have procure us with 2 different kinds of rubber pads. Dunno if we can find some in aftermarket like aliexpress

These are the small sticky rubber I could put to replace one of the rubber pads, it can contains 3-4 of them if aligned. I will try it when back from work

I notched the controller case where the arms open up to and my ipad mini and samsung S2 fit in now. This allows the arms to open quite a bit more, then you dont need to messs with the rubber grips.image.jpg image.jpgimage.jpg

Why not just buy a phone/tablet holder?

Widening the arms is free. No need to buy anything or add anything to your carrying bag. Does nothing to compromise the controller. You may choose to add a tablet holder or widen the arms as I did. It makes no difference to me. The question was how to enlarge the arms.
