I was out at golden hour, near a dark body of water, dark pavement and wearing dark clothes.
When I put my gimbal straight down the manual mode camera view was so dark I couldn't see anything without changing to auto. Didn't want to land in the lake or a or a near miss into tree.
Anyway, suddenly had an idea to put a bright blinking LED for my landing spot. Best thing about I can make it bright enough to be seen a long ways away, and battery weight doesn't matter like if you put it on the Spark.
Do a spin in the sky and locate your position from far away. Yeah, I use my map, but this is maybe even easy. Fly towards the blink. Might even put it on hat instead, for if I move or walk around.
