With the release today of the iPad Mini 5 it may be the best time ever to buy the previous model. The new model was expected to be a lower price but surprised analysts by keeping the $399 price tag (the full sized 2018 iPad is just $329 for comparison).
The Mini 5 does have some impressive spec bumps and a better screen but nothing that would noticably benefit a drone pilot. A refurbished iPad Mini 4 costs about half as much as should run DJI Go app just fine for years to come. The price has dropped to just $219 at GameStop.
