Bringing Sparkles Back

Good luck. 👍

The SPARK is a tough little brick.

I retired mine years ago due to pilot error and a RTH scenario at the time.

I tried to repair the little guy but it didn't work. :(

You may or may not know this, but the SPARK doesn't broadcast the RID (remote identification), that is required for drones over 249 grams when flying in the US outside.

An RID transmitter must be attached to the SPARK to be FAA compliant nowadays.

I miss flying my SPARK but the Mavic Air 2 and the NEO have been good to me so far.

Speaking of RID, as the deadline approached for compliance there weren't many options to choose from and most were not too far below the price of a used Spark. Holystone advertised one IIRC for around $70 or $80 and I got one for Christmas. Fast forward and I saw them for $30 on a Prime sale. The Spark is still quite a gadget, but the flurry of drones weighing in below the 250gr limit offer amazing performance. I wouldn't mind getting a newer one, but truth is I don't fly the one I've got much.
