Cannot activate sinking mode on spark drone

Hi

I recently purchased my first drone the dji spark (combo) refurbished.

The only issue is that it will not go into linking mode nor does it show up under wifi. I have followed the instructions from the dji app as well as a recommended video (posted below) . But when I hold down the button on the back of the drone (when its on) I get no response or change like shown in the video. No matter how long I hold it in

Although the RC remote works and can setup its own wifi but I still cant link it to the drone...

If you bought a combo the RC should of been linked already . Mine was

My remote is red instead of green.

Held the button for 3 seconds. No beebs. Doesnt go into linking mode. No matter how long I hold it down. It does nothing

Which button?
The battery button?
Spark has to be on.
Then hold button for 3 seconds (beep)

Yes I turn it on before trying to link ( the yellow lights blinking, red lights not blinking)

I press that button. I dont think there is any others?

Since it is a recent purchase, I would just return it if possible.
If that is not an option, use DJI Assistant 2 to refresh the current firmware.

Yeah I am sending in a warranty claim. I cannot use dji assistance. The drone seems to not respond to anything.

Sorry to hear.
But don't be let down by it.
My first Spark would not get a home lock at all.
Even during the duration of a battery and 15 sats locked in.
Once DJI fixed that, all was well.

Well see. Its gonna suck going over it all again with DJI techys. Hopefully they dont stuff around and make you do hoops to find out its broken haha
