AirMap and UAV Forecast are two apps available free on the app store and are a must have for every pilot to check before a flight to make sure all is good.

Welcome from up north! Get yourself a pre-flight checklist (search the forum). Great habits to get into are checking sensors, wind conditions, who's around, etc. Have fun ad fly safe!
