Does anyone use the Crystalsky? And is it worth the money? I use an Ipad but in bright sun light the screen is hard to see. Would like to hear from the communities if it a good product. Thanks

I do not own one but I have flown with one. I’m not going to say that it is worth the money because they are quite expensive but I will say that they do make a tremendous difference over using an IPhone 7Plus. If I had the expendable cash then I would be very tempted to purchase one. Hope this helps.

I use a Crystal Sky 5.5". While a bit pricey it does have a brighter screen that works better in sunlight. On some really bright days here in Arizona, even the Crystal Sky can be hard to see. I don't use a sun shade. Still, much better than an iPhone or iPad.

I have a crystal sky 5.5", it cost over $800 in Australia I had to buy mount and it doesn't even come with a power adaptor. On the positive side it's a great screen very clear and bright, in sunlight I have no problems at all. The battery life is exceptional over 6 hours. I can definitely recommend the Crystalsky

I have the CS Ultra.
If you don't want to wear goggles, or Epson Moverio BT-300 FPV drone edition (what a name), there is no substitute when flying in the daylight.
The CS Ultra is unbelievably expensive, but works unbelievably well.
The CSU cost more than any of my drones, and is worth more than any of my drones.
When I decided to buy it, I had to make up my mind on the CS High brightness, or the Ultra.
Too many times in my life, I had settled on the lesser expensive model thinking I could make it work, and suffered as a result often ending up buying the better model later on; thereby paying more altogether.
Not this time! I went for it without ever seeing one in person let alone seeing how it performed, in the bright day light.
The CS Ultra is extraordinary.
The CSU also is an excellent monitor to watch your videos, or see your pictures.
The CSU is also built like a tank though I treat it as if it were precious.
Also, the DJI Go 4 app fires up much more quickly than with any other device; chiefly because it is dedicated monitor, and possibly optimized for the app.
Some people have noted issues with their CSU.
I guess I got lucky as I have never had issues with it.
BTW...you get two batteries with the CSU, and they each last six hours, which is kind of over kill in my opinion. I would have preferred one battery, and the power supply to charge the batteries...weird offering by DJI. I guess they figured their target market (Phantom 4 pro) had a charger.

You make a compelling argument for CS! thanks for the feed back

Your welcome.
Before buying any other device, consider flying from within your car, or truck.
I do this on occasion, and it works surprisingly well.
Naturally, you have to launch and land 10' from you vehicle, but once it is up in the air, get back in the car and enjoy the seat, beverage holder, and controlled climate. You don't have to keep the engine running the whole time, just up/down to temp.
ALL monitors are easily seen from inside the car/truck.

I have used the jeep as a sun block (sitting in lawn chair) outside the car. Yet to try sitting in the Jeep . Might work good as it's a soft top anyway. Will try and let you know how it works out.

Ok...another aspect to consider is that most photograpy/videography is done in what is called the golden hour and/or civil twilight. Generally, this the time as the sun is coming up, and going down.
These times are favored because of the sun's lesser affect on the image, and the higher contrast this creates. This is as opposed to high noon when everything is washed out by the sun.
Generally, at these times a monitor' lesser nit (illuminance) is sufficient.
