This is a bit of a old one but for anyone with the GearVR and a samsung phone have you tried disabling NFC before putting your phone in the Gear VR? Should stop it autorunning the Occulus software allowing other apps to work.

Glad I came across your post. I just bought a gear VR this morning at Best buy to use with my s9+ and spark. When I get home this afternoon I want to connect it to the spark. I'm quite impressed with the gear VR system. I'm hoping connecting it to the drone will be straight forward.
Let me know how it goes, I don't have a Samsung phone or gear vr but I know someone who does, wouldn't mind asking him to install litchi from my account if it works.

I will let you know. I'm not going to do it tonight. From another thread , it looks like I'm going to have to get a bit creative with my phone and the pc to get it to work. I'm not going to root my new s9+ but there is a way to do it without rooting but it's still a bit involved.

I had to reset my phone and remove all accounts to get the cardboard app to install. Problem I'm at now is even with the cardboard app running, I'm still getting s notification to install gear VR apps when I load the phone into the goggles.
