FAA - Drone Committee Video

Thank you.

I didn’t listen to all of it but from what I heard seems like they already have their minds made up!!!

My take on it is that it's the rule makers looking for ways to make more rules which makes me think that this hobby is about to go entirely rogue.

I'm getting into flying FPV which means that my drone / quad will be custom built and not connected to the internet in any way. I don't have any plans to add the extra electronics for it to be tracked. I will be getting into flying cinematic FPV similar to flying my Spark which does not require high altitude flying therefore I will not be in any airspace occupied by personal or commercial aircraft.

ATTi mode wth antennae mods (in free air space) or other hardware/signal mods will be the only answer for many responsible pilots, I guess. LAANC works, DJI’s program is quite effective. IMO

Imagine that! I've seen enough over the years to know that, by the time the deciding body asks for input, the decision has already been made unless there is overwhelming evidence to reject the proposal. It's all an exercise to make it appear as though there was openness in the procedure. I saw this played out during the Base Realignment and Closure process back in the mid-90s. Still, I submitted my feedback to the NPRM even though I felt it was tilting at windmills.
