Gotta have some potato salad with those lobsters! We call them spuds sometimes or 'potatas' but usually they're just referred to as work. Did some calculating and of the 80,000+ acres grown here each year, our small province only consumes about 1,000 acres and the rest is exported around the world.

Not surprising considering your pop is 156,947 (Source Google). We also call then “taters” but only in certain parts of the U.K. Hope some of those scrummy veg get to our shores.
