Good range on stock fw

Hi Sparkies. Have anyone like me stayed on stock firmware and get good range with your Sparks? I got out yesterday more than 400m without any disconnects and could probably have got even further
Better mention my gear. Iphone 8 plus ios 11.1.2 on dji go 4 app v. 4.30 not otg cable yet and 0.1.00.900 firmware on Spark. Controller is on 1-00.400 batteries 0.100.00.85. Wifi channel 2.4 channel 3.

Main question is: where are you located ?
CE or FCC makes strong differences. 400m is honnest result in CE mode but nothing glorious in FCC where you may push to 3+km

It's in CE mode. Most likely 500 m next time

CE is the standard for Europe, FCC is the standard for North America, different countries around the world fit into either category. CE is far more restrictive.

When I was in BFE Kansas I had incredible range, 2.0k was doable. It's amazing how far you can fly when there is zero interference. Now that I am back in the mountains I'm lucky to get 600 meters.

With current firmware and OTG, I can readily achieve 2km if I’m in open space. I haven’t pushed it beyond that distance, primarily due to concerns with battery life. That said, I see no reason why I couldn’t reach 2.5km under solid conditions.

My distance with the spark landed back with 21 % battery didn't have one disconnection even when I turned around to come back.

Using latest fw on both aircraft and rc
Otg
And mod app 2. 0 lite
