Yes! An mini iPad fits fine under the EZ out lid foam, without compressing anything.

I picked up the "Fly-more" combo GPC case. Great case! Room for everything I need to fly including my Ipad Mini 4 which I just put in the lid between the top foam and the shell of the case..
