GPS/Vision ystem question

My 3D Sensing System icon is always red (DJI GO 4 4.1.18) if I don't "see" enough GPS satellites for GPS mode (like in my garage). In this case the status bar reads No Positioning (Atti). 3D Sensing System icon goes white as soon as there are enough GPS satellites detected to achieve ready to go (GPS) on the status bar.

This seems to indicate that Vision System will not operate without GPS - is that right? Am I missing something here? Thanks.

The User Manual says:
"The Vision System uses 3D infrared module and image data to help the aircraft maintain its current position, enabling precision hovering indoors...where GPS signal is not available." That means the status bar should say "Ready to Go (Vision)"

Sometimes it does show it others show attitude mode but no difference n flght
