Hardwire connections

No in any case, it is USB-C. Spark RC is micro-USB connector.

First, why you want to connect the Spark to the remote controller ?
Or what do you want to do?

Connecting a phone or table to the RC USB port is normally done using an OTG connector.
Goto DJI Spark Accessories & Tips - Spark Help
section MUST-HAVES / OTG cable
Then you can use a normal USB cable from your phone to the OTG cable.

I read where some say it gives a more solid connection and better range.. I do not know if this is true or not.. Either way I went to The Source and bought the OTG cable and have it working..
 
The connection of phone/table with cable to the RC with the USB/OTG cable can improve the range as it eliminate one wifi connection very close to the RC. This is especially true in urban environment where it is hard to find a clean channel for the wifi connection from RC to the Spark.
But you need to put your phone/table to airplane mode to really benefit of it.
