Here are a few pictures from the CHRISTKINDLMARKT.

The City of Carmel builds the ice rink and village every season for the holiday festivities.

My oldest niece is called Carmel. I think she was named after the California Carmel if that exists? Really nice shots, looks very quiet, perhaps after they’d all gone home?

I didn't know California had a town named Carmel until Clint Eastwood became Mayor of the town about thirty years ago.

I have heard that they call the one in California, Carmel by the Sea. We call ours Carmel by the river. :D

I took the pictures around 7 am and had the whole place to myself.

The city will start to dismantle everything soon since the holidays are over.
I guess people aren't as jolly after Christmas and don't want to hang around outside to shop, party, and ice skate.

Early bird get the worm. Again great shots. Big build up here for the Big Day. Usual Brit weather though, mild, wet and windy. Tomorrow looks a lot better and may, just may get my Spark up. Mind you will not want what happened to my nephew’s Spark, he’s in Cape Town. Put her up and off she flew there was no bringing her back. He’s sending the log to DJI. think he secretly wants the excuse to buy a MM!!

Lovely shots, excellent exposure! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you.

The automatic setting on the Spark was making everything too bright.

I switched to manual and spun the dials to achieve a better look. :)

Well "spun" Spark317! Very nice capture.

Thanks.

That's what I thought too.

If you look above the buildings to the right in the first image (Christmas tree), you might notice the crescent moon hanging softly in the cosmos.

I was surprised the Spark captured it so well.

You can almost see the whole shape of the moon.
