Intelligent flight mode issues

Hi folks, I cannot get the intelligent flight mode icon to come up on the left side of screen. The only way I can access them is to set Fn button on navigation then press Fn. only a couple modes work. I sent to DJI under warranty they said they fixed it and tested it. Got it back a few days ago and it is still the same problem.
Updated firmware, DJI go4 app. I use Samsung S8+ and also tried Nvidia Shield. Tried with and without OTG cable, no difference.
I read on one forum that it could be Android issue as Apple may buy DJI.
Any suggestions?

I'm new to the Spark so I probably can't be of much help, but I have noticed that certain features are disabled when in "beginner mode".

Just want to add that I use the Nvidia and my Samsung S8+ with my Mavic Pro and all intelligent modes work. I was told that it is the djigo4 app that is the problem, but being able to use all modes with the Mavic Pro sort of dispels that ???
