You'll have to come over to my house to watch the footage as I don't have a YouTube channel...yet.?

I slowed the footage down to 10% and you can see the lighting start to form in the cloud at one side, and then go sideways to the other side of town.

Sort of looked like the end of the movie, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, when they were up on Devil's Tower before the aliens revealed themselves from the clouds.

I parked the Spark less than 100' in the air, put it in Tripod mode to tilt the camera up past the horizon, and enjoyed the show on the tablet.

Well, hope you'll eventually find a way to share the video,, I think even in the best of times, my making a trip there is only a remote possibility.. haha.

And thanks for the tripod mode tip.... will try it for sure.

I hope you had the opportunity to try.

I got lucky as it was a slow moving storm with little wind.

I only brought the Spark down when it started to rain.

Tried it out but it was night time. Too grainy. Definitely will go for it again!

I used three batteries during the flight and it didn't rain, just a light show.

I was getting ready to load up battery number four but then the rain drops started to gather on my tablet and decided that was enough.
