Litchi will likely release an update soon that will allow you to connect the app.

Does using Litchi violate the warranty?

Litchi doesn't violate the warranty, but if you crash while using litchi it's not covered. The best thing about Litchi is that you can program your drone to fly a route by drawing on a map and setting altitude. The drone is then uploaded with the flight data and then it takes off, flying the pre programmed route. You can send the drone beyond radio signal, and it will come back with very good smooth footage. I once sent my phantom 3 out past come big rocks out in the ocean. The drone was behind these cliffs for over ten minutes, outside of radio contact. Very cool software, worth experimenting with.
