Try taking one exposure for the sky (like the one you've posted) and another one for the ground (tap in the dark area on your phone and take another photo) and then stitching them together so that you have a nicely exposed sky AND foreground. It will really help your photo taking!

What app would you use to stitch the photos together?

whatever you have... paint would do an ok job of it... photoshop is overkill, but a pleasure to work with.
