Is motor maintenance with a contact cleaner necessary?
Or is it enough with a mini hand blower?

A can of air is fine.

If you hand launch or use a pad, the Spark will remain clean for a long time.

If launching from the ground without a clean surface,
the Spark will get dirty.

The motors are specifically designed to be maintenance free. There is no mention of any required motor maintenance in the DJI manual. Spraying in liquids under pressure (contact cleaner) or even compressed air risks harm without any known measurable benefit.

As mentioned by others the best practice is to protect them motors by using a sealed carry case and using hand launch/landing instead of bare ground.
