This is my battery mod.
Have you ever seen such a thing?
😉

25 minutes of fly in sport mode, not so bad.
Can charge (and balance) on original charging hub.
Can overcharge also on another charger.
Working retaining clips.
It connects like a normal battery, no velcro, no straps, nothing.
Perfect clearance under the drone.
No need to disable downward vision sensors.

Working battery telemetry but I've to reprogram circuit for new capacity, then I still fly in "not DJI battery" looking for voltage.
"Only" 371g MTOM perfectly balanced (2-3mm decentered on tail, compared to the original battery)
70km/h but with more inertia.

Motors RPM on range, no error messages.

Soon, Mavic Air propellers with 3D printed motor spacers.

I don't see why: 10 min, 20min, 30min... what the differences if you are flying?

Anyway, lipo temp it's about 20°C less then the original because the cells are cooled by air speed and propellers.

My mod it's much better than fly with a 180grams attached in parallel at 96 grams of original lipo, with a MTOM of 480grams!
Nothing gets hot with 370!

It's almost like flying normally, but with al little more of inertia.

I'm impress too. It is really 👍 "engineering"
Can we have more informations about the concept ?

Nice! I like how you left the XT60 plug still accessible.
Useful to monitoring max voltage during charge: "normal" lipo are not lipo-HV.
If you want, you can stop the charge when reach 12.8-9V.

Wow, you've attacked the one thing that I feel holds back the Spark...then 11-12 minute battery life. Once you get more figured out, would you consider documenting this so some of us could try as well? Thanks- you do a lot to help the Spark community. I really appreciate your help in the Spark "jumping" thread.

I will shortly be selling these batteries, with working telemetry and no need to use "non-DJI battery".
Simply plug it in and turn it on.

I spend a whole day to assemble a battery, without considering that a functioning battery worth 40-50 euros is sacrificed.

Really... I don't know if I'll sell them.

Costs are about EUR 50 (for the original battery), EUR 30 for the lipo, almost an entire working day with dremel, welder and superglue.

I don't know if there will be people willing to pay at least EUR 120 for a Spark battery.

Would you consider building one for me and shipping it to Michigan?

Hello.
I can't ship overseas, only Europe.
It's very expensive and I don't know if I can send a LiPo battery in U.S.A.

Anyway, are currently sold out.
I've a little version, same style, built with the Mavic Air cells.

It allows also 20 minutes but using Mini2 propellers.
Less weight, only 140 grams.
Total aircraft weight is 344 grams.

Ok. Thank you. I love my Spark I bought it new in 2018 and have invested lots of money in accessories for it. Just would really like more fight time. Maybe i will have to bite the bullet and buy a Mini 3 Pro. lol

A Spark is very cheapest, today.
I sell naked Spark (only aircraft) for Eur 100.

Better than a care refresh :)

And now, with 20 minutes of flight time, Spark has become intersting. Better than a Mini or a Mini2.

FCC, 70km/h, battery extender...
