No it's not back tried it still the same n/a. To me I don't think it would take much to get it back working.

Nope. 
I just went from a IPhone 8 to an S8. Almost wish I'd have kept my apple, OTG worked great with it.

I got an OTG cable to work with my Samsuing S8+. Im using DJI GO4 version 4.4.1.15 along with this cable.
She fired right up while the WiFi was still connected to my home network.
