Greetings to my fellow UAS users.
I live in the USA for six months of the year, this is on a B1 / B2 visa. I purchased a drone here back in February and fly it locally, ( southern NewMexico ) where there are no, or very few restrictions, lucky me.
I would like to obtain a part 107, mainly to be a safer pilot, learn more about drone aviation and be able to fly in areas I am not able to as a hobby pilot. I have no interest in doing this for a commercial venture.
Have any other non US citizen forum users been in the same situation.
I will be looking at the FAA regulations and as I fly in and out of Phoenix sky harbour, would look to take the test in that area.
Thank you for any information or personal experiences you may be able to offer.
Safe flying
