If I set my Ruth parameters to say 200 ft, but I am only able to go 150 ft because of using wireless.. Is this a way to cheat getting higher? Just want to go higher, but don't have r c to do so yet.

I think you answered your own question...go get a remote.

Yes, but if you loose remote control of your aircraft while doing this and for any reason anything malfunctions, you will not be able to manually take control of your Spark. However I thought RTH automatically reverted back to the default RTH height when using just a Phone for control or using gesture mode.

Being able to set the RTH to 200' while using either your phone or gesture mode for remote control is definitely an oversight on DJI's part that could result in a fly away if this is actually the case.
