Think it’ll help prevent buffs and scratching, on the other hand is there a possibility of interference with the GPS or Wifi?

Should not be an issue for GPS (on top) if there is really nothing metallic in it. Wifi antennas are in arms.
More a concern is the 40 gr weight (if I converted correctly the 1.3 ounce indicated) they indicate, it is more than 10% of the Spark weight. So it should have an issue on the flight time.

Also might impact on cooling and trap in heat that would normally be dissipated through the body shell
