1.I am using FCC and Ipad mini4 with the latest version of everything
2. No Bluetooth
3. Far out in the woods and tested that here is no other wifi networks of any kind

I try with and without OTG and while the sucker was hoovring at front of me I loose connection multible of times.

Then I try using my Galaxy S7 with GO4 V4.1.15 and OTG, and there is no problems.

What is going on here?? My Spark is totally unrelaible!

Upgrade your iPad Mini to the latest version of iOS. If that doesn't resolve the issue, then try these tips.

What exactly happens when you lose the connection?

I have just been out freezing again :)
This time I used the screen recorder on my Ipad and have now uploaded to youtube. Sorry about the long at boring video, but It show my problems.
First some facts:
1. I have never enjoyed my Spark. Ever since I got it for 4 month ago I has just been one long troubleshooting.
2. What ever "far away from anything" location I choose, I am having connection problems. The disconnect happens in all distances even within 2 meters.
3. I use a ipad mini4, firmware 11.2.5, and GO4 V4.2.6.
4. I connect wireless to the remote as DJI recommend, but OTG give me the same result.
5. Flat side of the antenna against the drone, bluetooth off... ect evt.
6. The Spark is updated with the latest firmware also.

The strange thing here is, that on DJI noice scanner there seems to be a lot of wifi interference on 2.4G, but if I start a wifi scanner on my phone, there is no noise. That is really strange. Also I am in the woods, there should really be no interference at all.
Also in my own seller there is noise on all 2.4G channels, but the Wifi scanner only find my own access point.

Well here we go.

Did you try the same test above with an OTG connection and your iPad Mini in airplane mode?

Did you ensure there are no other electronic devices near your Spark remote controller (phone, Apple Watch, etc.)? If you have other electronic devices in the area, make sure Bluetooth is disabled on them (or enable airplane mode).

As point 4 and 5, Yes same result.

I can add to the list that I just had the same experience with my Samsung Galaxy S7 with OTG, I get the disconnect like on the Ipad on any distance even within 1-2 meters.

The fact that you do not experience any of these issues when flying with your Galaxy S7 rules out a potential Spark hardware issue.

The iPad Mini 4 has plenty of power, so it shouldn't have any trouble running DJI GO 4 (even more so since you're following my tips). There seems to be some kind of added interference in the flying area when using your iPad Mini.

Maybe try leaving your Galaxy S7 and all other electronic gadgets at home before heading out to fly next time.

In your original post above, you stated:
"Then I try using my Galaxy S7 with GO4 V4.1.15 and OTG, and there is no problems."

What exactly do you mean by "no problems"? Please go into some more detail there so we're not left to assume.

Oh sorry, I see the conflict :)
The other day flying on the same spot with my Galaxy I did have no problems (no disconnects), so I thought it might be a IOS problem. But today I was flying with my ipad 4 mini (the youtube videos) with a lot of disconnects, but after that I did try my Galaxy and did have the exact same problem with a lot of disconnects.

He fixed it by selling his Spark ;)

Poor form, dude. I hope you fully disclosed this "problem" to the buyer.
The Spark is under warranty and there is DJI referesh in it.
The buyer is giving it a shot. Btw it was almost a giveaway.
The buyer is not risking anything.
Case closed.

Thanks for all your help. Has moved to the Mavic forum now :-)

Have you tried factory reset the iPad. I was having disconnect issues with my brand new Google pixel. Factory reset fixed everything.

4384812D-B5AF-42EC-B8D8-A7311E6224C9.png I’m scratching my head here, wondering why he didn’t let the Spark choose the BEST WIFI CHANNEL available automatically. And why he got this message after making the changes. Since he ditched the Spark and is no longer in this forum, these are just questions that had me thinking. Also the OTG would not resolve the disconnects from the remote to the aircraft, only the reception coming from the aircraft to the mobil device.. the wifi just quit on him.
Wouldn’t it be ironic if the same thing happened to the Mavic under the same flying circumstances and location.?

That's the message I get when connecting my android with latest official GO4 with RC. I hit cancel and I don't have any problems with range.
