if i wanted to keep my batteries in storage should i stop charging after 2 flashing lights on battery , about 3.75 to 3.80 per cell .

I keep mine at about 45 to 50 %

If you top them up to 100%, they will automatically discharge to around 60% after 10 days.
Its recommended to give them some juice every 3 month.

Isnt 40-60% capacity in storage the norm in li-po world?

never , but the spark batteries will stop charging when charging is complete . DJI has intelligent batteries .
