I take anything Matt Gaetz says with a grain of salt. He's a political grandstander and prone to parrot what the party leadership says, mostly without verifiable evidence. YMMV.

A lot has been said about DJI and Chinese spying over the years. You would do well to research it online and make up your own mind.

Mr. "X" could be talking about Google, The Weather Channel app and a host of others as well. I used to find Ken Heron more entertaining, but during the FAA's NPRM, I found he did not know as much about it as his viewers might have assumed. As with all things of importance, "trust, but verify".
