Camped out at Tuttle Creek near Lone Pine, CA. The Eastern Sierra side was very smokey from the Creek Fire, burning many miles away. The wind shifted for a few hours and a patch of blue sky appeared overhead so I took Sparky out for a fly.

Very nice to see a completely different scenario from goof old Blighty. Stunning countryside and well shot. Is the brush stuff tumbleweed? We Brits are always moved by the thought of tumbleweed. The nearest we get to that is if the lid blows of the compost bin and the grass cutting fly around!!

Nicely flown and edited. It always amazes me how different landscapes are beautiful in their own way, whether it's dessert, rainforest, pastoral fields, etc.

Lots of sagebrush and tumbleweed, but nothing blowing across the landscape just yet!
