Hi fellow Sparkees
CAVU specifically says that the Gear VR headset can't be used.
I have a very simple non destructive mod that enables the use of the GEAR VR.
I have an S8 and Gear VR with controller
The Gear VR comes with both micro USB and USB C adaptors. The S8 uses USB C.
I removed the 4 screws holding the connector to the plastic adaptor in the Micro USB adaptor and then used the plastic adaptor to hold my phone in the headset without it connecting electronically.
It works a treat and means you have a high quality headset for VR.

Or you could purchase play cardboard from the app store and not hassle with disassembling the goggles.

It disables the Oculus and allows the CAVU to work.

Wow thanks a lot! [emoji106] [emoji106]
This is actually very simple, as Gear vr is provided with 2 USB plugs.
3 mn to unscrew, take out the USB plug (the one you dont use with oculus of course [emoji1] ), and reassemble the plug (as perfectly shown in your pictures.

I run CAVU without problem. I flew in P mode only for the moment. Experience is good but not as great as i expected. Maybe its because oculus gives you already so many great experiences in vr[emoji1] [emoji1]

The only negative point with CAVU is that if you forced dji go4 into FCC mode CAVU will automatically switch it back to CE mode. You have to force again into FCC when you fly again with dji go4. This is annoying if you fly in a country outside Europe without regulation on transmitter power...
