I thought you guys elected Trump to "drain the swamp of corporate influence from Washington"? And yet....here you are. Corporations dictating to the government what to do.

Not to mention, this guy points out this one industry advocate is "very left, Big Government".....um, no. She represents business, big money, she's a right winger. She wants hobby drone flying regulated and out of the way so she can make money. And those on the right can't seem to see that this is their concept of a "free market" coming to form.

This video maker is pretty clueless. I stopped watching half way when he speculated that DJI delayed the Mavic 2 to install remote ID system. This is stupid, because DJI released Aeroscope however long ago, which is EXACTLY THAT for ALL of its drones! It's not why they delayed it, but it is also built in. Truth is, all drones probably should have this for situational awareness. Maybe then helicopters will fly higher.

Opinion from the north: your country is so overrun by corporate influence, PACs, and lobbyists, that the voice of the people, this concept of "democracy" that the USA champions is dead. And you celebrate is with your red hats and USA flag underwear. Your Citizens United decision killed what was left of "by the people, for the people". You have billionaires openly saying they are going to buy elections, and do, with total impunity. You have organizations like ALEC who write legislation on behalf of business, and then buy politicians to support it. You, the people, have NO say. The very principles on which caused the pilgrims to move to America, the reasons you had your revolutionary war, and created a constitution at all are dead. Even the checks and balances of your judicial branch are ineffective because you just appoint a supreme court judge who changes the balance and will undo laws already written!

Screw fighting for drone rights, screw fighting for gun rights, screw fighting off healthcare and military everything, and Roe v Wade, and your stupid Space Force, and stop pinning Dem vs GOP because they are both the SAME, because none of it matters. Theybare all bought and paid for, and not by you. Start uniting as a people and fighting to get the money OUT of politics. Because as long as politicians can become millionaires under this system, they DO NOT WORK FOR YOU, THE PEOPLE.

TLDR: USA your democracy is broken. Fix it. Then worry about where you can fly your drones.

Not everyone here voted for scumbag trump... dip sh*t.

Name calling, eh? That always gets support for your argument.

And hey, yah, 3million fewer people voted for him, but your system did elect him.

And please, enlighten where I was wrong? How is your system not overrun by corporate influence?

You're next...lol. Besides, this is a forum for spark fans NOT retarded political views.

Sadly, much of what we see around the world is the same. I prefer not to get political, but if nobody speaks up, complacency takes over, and all of sudden, you get harsher rules, which THEN make you speak up when its so hard to undo the change.

We should also consider that the USA is just one country represented by users here, the membership is pretty international. And it seems lately the world is not following US policy so closely .... so what happens with the FAA and corporate America is only going to affect pilots there, at least in theory.

However, we should, at least here, respect each other's point of view even if we dont agree in principal. Lets be civil. We all have a common trait, we love drones. Yes, the future may make that harder, but what we say and do in here is not going to change the big picture. If you are passionate about the changing laws in your country contact your local official, create petitiions, make your voice heard where it counts.

My 2 cents worth.

You still never pointed out what I got wrong.

And if I seem over the top about you fixing your system, it is only because we have a political party up here who likes to walk in step with everything done in the USA, and I wish to avoid those problems here.

Then get a visa or citizenship for the US and fix it yourself, not like us spark owners here have the power to fix what is wrong with rhe worlds governments... unbelievable!

Meh. didnt think it was "toxic", just looking at the root issue: the people are not being adequately represented, and money is taking over. See it how you will. It isn't a unique problem to the USA, but it is certainly quite overt there.

Trouble with forums is you don't see facial expressions, body language, you don't hear tone of voice. I've said this many times over the years... And there are multiple sensitivities in every crowd. I happen to agree with you... the great divide is returning world wide.

Worst part of my day today, its too windy to fly... Dang! Seems the whole weekend forecast is looking that way:(

I hear ya. I'm going diving tomorrow, but hoping to shoot from the boat. Not sure it will be possible!
