    Is this a dumb question?

Thanks. That clearly answers my question. So, to clarify, the controller uses the WiFi to control the spark and the spark must not fly beyond the range of the WiFi. Also, line of sight must be maintained in order not to block the WiFi signal. mike

    Is this a dumb question?

Which device sends the WiFi signal, the spark or the control unit (RC)?

Check out Epson Moverio BT-300 glasses.

I have had mine since Christmas 2020, but I can not get them to connect to my Spark. I get an "Authorization Error" when I try to connect to the Sparks WIFI.

    Epson bt300

I am about to sell the bt-300. I notice that when I first start up the spark and controller, without an OTG cable, I notice a weak wifi signal from the spark. No matter what I try, I can’t connect to the sparks WiFi. Even the DJI go 4 app will not scan the code on the spark, although I run fine...

Thank you for the explanation on how the Spark is connected to the controller. I see that happen when the green light comes on the controller when both the controller and Spark are turned on. I will check on the Mavis forum.

But Joe, how is the Spark connecting to its controller without WIFI and how do you know they are connected without using a phone, ipad mini or BT-300 glasses? These need wifi or am I missing something? BTW, thank you for helping me.

Hi. I have new bt-300 glasses but find it impossible to use it’s cursor to type . I have bought a Bluetooth mouse and hope to be able to use it. Question, is there a video I can watch that will show me how to connect to my Sparta and fly it? Thanks ~Mike

Check out Epson Moverio BT-300 glasses.

I am finding it almost impossible to use the cursor/mouse pad. Have you found a way to connect with a Bluetooth mouse and or keypad. It took me 5 hours to type in my WiFi password because the cursor jumped all over the place and wrong characters were being typed. Not acceptable. Mike
