I took photos of all that stuff when all my drones were new. I may not ever need that stuff again, but I have it just in case.

I bought it as a Spark replacement. Whatever the range ends up as should be good for me, I never fly beyond VLOS with any of my quads.

Even though the Spark and Air are both WiFi, according to the specs, the power output of the transmitters in both the AC and RC of the Air is double that of the Spark. Plus, the Air has an improved antenna design. All that is why the advertised range of the Air is farther than that of the Spark...

Your altitude is based on where the home point is. If you fly down hill. the altitude will go negative. I've stood at the top of a cliff and flew down into the valley and my altitude said -100.

Finally got to where I could go test it, been a long couple of days. BTW - great-grandson Charlie finally made his entrance around 4PM yesterday, 6# 11oz 20 inches long. He and my granddaughter are doing great. Back to my testing, latest DJI Go 4 app on an iPad mini 4 running the latest iOS...

I updated my iPad then had to rush off to the hospital, my new great-grand-son was wanting to come out into the world. Turned out to be a false alarm, so they sent my granddaughter home for the night. Anyway, assuming little Charlie doesn't decide he's ready again, I'll try it out in the morning.

Does it completely work or just mostly work like it used to? By that I mean can you assign the buttons and it remembers them, etc.? I'm betting on mostly works, I would think there'd have to be stuff added in the firmware.

No, since it only has a 2 axis gimbal, it uses the the bits left over from 1080p for image stabilization.

There's a grass field on the map close to my house. Way back many moons ago, I called the number for the owner. A very nice lady answered the phone, she said it was her Dad's and he's been dead for over 5 years. So I've not called her again.
