    Props from masterairscrew?

I heard they will release props for the Spark this year, and they confirmed it. I assume they will be low-noise like the new Mavic Air props. The Air obviously needed it even more than Spark, but the Spark could also use a bit less of that high-pitched noise. :)

    Increase in Spark Fly Aways.......why?

To sum it up: - There are many, many Sparks out there! - Entry level, so more inexperienced pilots - No redundant HW (compass/gps) - Relatively unstable wifi connection doesn't help either (although no reason for a flyaway it could increase pilot error) Spark is still my favorite though (only...

    RED WAYPOINT

I assume this will not stay a free app. Do you have any idea about the price range? Also please: - Add Offline POI support, that's actually a very useful usecase: just select the POI on the satellite map, set radius/speed/direction and off you go! - Add a pointer on the map for the current...

    Cheap Android OTG cables

In the case of Spark I am pretty sure the reliability of this cable is already better than the wifi RC connection we have in CE mode here in Europe anyway! ;) On a serious note: I use cheap Ebay/Aliexpress cables all the time for different purposes, no problems so far.

    Spark life expectancy

And I am wondering if those early Sparks actually fell from the sky because of: - the older latches - they were just not seated properly (the "Click"), never had an issue with the older batteries myself - the early Battery FW issue that was fixed bak then... To be honest I doubt there were that...

Looks like otg android is back and app download new app 4.2.16 587 Monday 21st May.

FWIW I was able to set FCC using Floater with 4.2.12 577 without any special steps. Just start Floater, set to US, start GO4, start RC, wait for connection (over wifi), confirm wifi region warning, exit GO4, exit floater, open Maps to verify location is back to normal, start GO4 and cancel wifi...

I'd say a simple rubber band should do the trick as well... :)

    OTG Here To Stay

That does not explain why this also occurs out in the field away from any 2.4 accesspoints (all green bars) or BT! IMO there is some kind of error in the implementation that DJI currently uses, and I really hope the wifi connnection issues in CE will finally be fixed in a future FW update!

    OTG Here To Stay

Yes, I know all that. But it really makes no sense that OTG helps for the 5.8GHz connection since - like you also mentioned - the only difference is the Phone-RC link (2.4 or OTG cable). - Since they are literally touching, 2.4GHz interference should not be a significant issue at that distance...

    OTG Here To Stay

IMO the biggest advantage of using OTG on Android is a much more stable 5.8 connection (much less "weak signal" warnings) in CE countries (Europe), even at 300-400m. In FCC mode the wifi connection is very stable even on 5.8GHz up to 1km or so, and there is not really a reason to change bands or...
