I figure you would use an angle to capture the subjects...why not angle while over buildings?

I did this before covering a Christmas festival just south of us.
Outlined the entire festival aisles (roads) over the buildings.
Almost got trapped though, forgot about the 66-69Kv towers & strands at the end of my outline.
Made it under though to get back.

Yes, pretty close to where on the first pass, the parade was two way.
I was two blocks back from that.
Although, I have been known to do past a mile without interference that is.

No, flat on the ground but Main Street is about 25ft lower than where I was.
