Abandoned Radar Station, East Haven, Vermont

Hello again all,

I'll start by saying that this place was crazy! I've never been anywhere like it before. And, I did have to bring the Spark out of retirement for this trip.

I went camping with one of my brothers and a couple friends to an abandoned Air Force Radar Station that I heard about a while ago. And it was a blast.

I filmed most of it with my Mavic Air 2 and Osmo pocket, but there are a few shots with the Spark and a couple other cameras in there.

I know it's long, but I think it's by best editing to date. But, if you find yourself losing interest, skip to the last 3 minutes, as the sunrise shots I took are definitely some of my best. There's also a short description in the "video description" on YouTube.

An editing marathon for you which has paid off handsomely. A unique place and very interesting. Hitchcock’s location hunting specialists would have loved it. Perhaps even worthwhile popping it to some of today’s location companies. Difficult to tell which bits are handheld as all the tight inside shots are so well done-perhaps you got Spark for those nooks and crannies? Music is stunning and so well suited to the footage. Great work and very good to watch.

I’m not an expert, but I really liked this. It was fascinating to see these relics of the past along with the majesty of East Mountain. Many great scenes...the swirling dam waters, atop the radar tower, evening lit up with stars, following the shade vs sun as the clouds moved, etc. Also liked the music and spooky rooms! Nice work!!

Thank you. I worked a lot on this one and I'm really proud of it. Expecially the last part with the sunrise shots. The Spark was used for the drone shots in the beginning of the video at the Barracks complex. all the indoor stuff was with the Osmo Pocket.

It was an Air Force Station from 1955 t9 1963. Apparently that was where Barney Hill was stationed when he and his wife were abducted by aliens on their way home in New Hampshire. Crazy story if you have time to read about it!

Thank you! It started at 30 minutes long, and I cut down from there. I feel 15 minutes is still pretty long, but I couldn't bring myself to cut anything else!
