Update for android app has just dropped, I wonder if it will cure the multitude of problems that people suffered since the last update.

Well I can confirm it hasn't fixed the issue with the OTG cable no longer showing flight/battery telemetry. That problem is still very much there. I hope they're still working on a fix for that, otherwise it may be that it was an intentional move to disable it.
