Anyone else having issues with gesture mode

When I'm in gesture mode around other people the gestures don't seem to work very consistently I have to be on my own all alone for the gestures to work all the time
Like a group picture I can't stand in front of the group and take the picture

Gesture modes are very "finicky", thus you have to be very precise/deliberate with you hand movements. I've used it around other people without any issues, except for looking like an idiot.

Given up on it... Just use the remote for everything now.. Soo much has better with the remote! Lol

I played with gestures for the first time today, noticed 2 things. The "wave" must be in a straight horizontal direction with wide motions at moderate speed. I originally was waving at a 45° angle to fast and it never worked.

I also noticed the snap a picture gesture needed to be held for a few seconds to recognize.
