Channel Mode info

Suddenly the channel mode screen shows no info. Channel one is blue as is -100 on the scale. I'm used to seeing 149 blue with a strong signal strength. I'm flying the Spark with the OTG. Same screen without the cable. Is it me or the app?

I just encountered this problem for the first time today. No signal strength bars at all. I tried to go custom channels setting. I saw a few bars, 4 or 5 to the extreme right. Went back to auto, flew with no bars. Seemed fine, but what is going on here?
