Controlling software and/or remote

The Spark is so new that internet research is coming up with nothing so I thought I would hit up other users on this.

Are there options for the controlling software the Spark uses, meaning can I use a different program to control it or is everything proprietary?

Also, the remote will not accept certain custom configurations, it will only let you go so far. Are there other controllers with the ability to fully configure as you wish?

If you're a software developer, you can use the DJI mobile SDK.

Had anyone programmed the Spark using the DJI Mobile SDK? I would like to know how easy it is to learn (for mildly programming type like me) and what you could program the Spark to do?

Also, are there any other software that one could use to program the Spark?
