Descent speed

Hi guys,

ive been flying with my spark for 2 weeks now and ive noticed when i hover the drone above 15 meters and I try to descent the spark, the descent rate is really really low, most of the times the spark will switch to landing mode when I try to lower it straight down (because im holding the stick way down to try to get it to go descent faster) is there a trick to get the spark to descent faster while keeping it in the same place, or can it only be done by making a forward/backward motion?

or is it not normal that it descent extremely slow? below about 10 meters it will drop like a stone, weird.

ps. this happens in normal mode and in sport mode, with and without the avoidance sensors on. Up it will go like a rocket

Try decending with some lateral movement.
The Spark will limit its straight down decent velocity to prevent VRS.

Before somebody ask, VRS = Vortex ring state.
The drone descending vertically will fly in its own turbulences and will drop down for some meters out of control.
You can try it, but keep some margin in altitude, best without wind.
